Participation Fund

At Southampton Archery Club we want to support our members to be able to continue to participate in the sport that we all love. We understand that at times the cost of membership can become a burden for those with financial difficulties, so the committee have agreed to maintain a participation fund which can provide support to existing members who are struggling to pay for their annual renewal fees.

What does the participation fund cover?

The fund will cover part or all of your membership renewal fee for the year.

Who can apply?

Any member of Southampton Archery Club who has been a member for a minimum of 12 months can apply for support from the fund. You must be able to show that the support is needed for you to be able to continue in the sport.

How do I apply?

Please apply to the Chairman or Secretary via email and provide answers to the following questions in your email. Please note that the information provided in your application will be confidential and only shared with the panel.

  • What is your AGB number?
  • Are you in receipt of any benefits?
  • Has there been a change in your circumstances that has led to financial hardship?
  • How would receiving support from the participation fund impact you?
  • Is there anything else you would like the panel to consider?

Who makes the decision?

The Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer will form the decision-making panel and will assess applications on a case-by-case basis. You may be asked for more information to help the panel to reach a decision. The decision of the panel will be final.
