Charity Donations
The club has a long history of supporting the local community, with over £40,000 donated to local charities in the last 15 years.
Every year at our Annual General Meeting, local charities are suggested and members vote to decide which one will receive the support of the club over the following year. We then raise funds and invite the charity to attend our awards presentation evening at Christmas in order to receive a cheque for a minimum donation of £1,000. The most the club has raised in a single year for a charity is just over £10,000!
We have supported numerous charities over the years including Youth Options, Maggie's Centres, Fledge, Countess Mountbatten Hospice, Piam Brown Children's Oncology Ward, Eastleigh Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, The Scouts, Hampshire Air Ambulance, The MS Society & The Rose Road Association.
Our chosen charity for 2024 is Gift of Sight.
Our chosen charity for 2023 was Alfie's Wish.
